His Eminence Hazrat Ameer Abdul Qadeer Awan (May his blessings remain forever) is the present Sheikh of the Silsila Naqshbandia Owaisiah. He was chosen by Hadhrat Ameer Muhammad Akram Awan-rua as his successor and Sheikh-e Silsila. Previous to his succession, Hadhrat Ameer Abdul Qadeer Awan served as the Nizam-e 'Aala of the Silsila and the Head of Al-Ikhwan and Al-Ikhwat, the Brother/Sisterhood of the Silsila.

Naqshbandia Owaisiah

Naqshbandia Owaisiah is a major branch of Naqshbandi which employs a similar method of Zikr but acquires the Prophetic blessings in the manner of Khawajah Owais Qarni(RH), who received this beneficence from the Holy Prophet-saws without a formal physical meeting. The Zikr employed by the Naqshbandia Owaisiah is Zikr-e Khafi Qalbi (remembrance of Allah's Name within the heart) and the method is termed 'Pas Anfas', which (in Persian) means guarding every breath.
